Algebra 2 is a comprehensive course which expands on the fundamental skills learned in Algebra 1 and introduces topics of advanced algebra. These include, but are not limited to, the structure of the real number system with an extension into the complex number system, a careful study of mathematical functions (constant, linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, logarithmic, exponential), a reinforcement of the connection between algebra and geometry through trigonometry, as well as, statistics. The development of critical thinking skills, the ability to articulate mathematical ideas, independent learning, and the importance of working with other students are fundamental principles in this class.

Since lesson summary information is used to shape the class time, late work will not be accepted for notes and lesson summary credit given. ADDENDUM to syllabus: 11/25/2019 Teacher reserves the right to not permit retakes based on student's use of class time for a given chapter. Warning and notification will be given to the student prior to privileged being revoked for the chapter. ADDENDUM to syllabus: 9/15/2019 Classwork will be not be accepted after the original test on the given content. 9/17/2019 Late homework must be emailed (take a picture) to the teacher.
